You know Wulk, this is a classic example that if our gov't would stay the hell out of other countries' business, the people themselves would soon find their common grounds.

That's kind of what America used to be like. We would join in on various celebrations and activities that had usually been indigenous to specific areas. Some of the various customs would rub off on others. It's what made us a great melting pot. Now people just want to isolate the different groups and pit them against each other.
