Mmmmm:
There is only one measure of whether or not an economy is in a recession. It is well defined. It is not an opinion. It is not for you to decide. A recession means two or more quarters of no, or negative, growth in gdp. Period.

There are actually several accepted definitions of economic recession, and that is just one of them.
