I find it difficult to believe that someone who can afford a 30 or 40 thousand dollar vehicle would never have heard the expression "came out of nowhere" in his/her entire life. I meant to say that someone might hit you even if you never hit anyone else. You are so right (ha!) about it being a great idea for everyone to read their manual. I wasn't really serious (duh!) about there being a PSA telling us to do so. Let's get empirical for a moment: I don't think the government will ever mandate warning labels or anything else related to this subject, but would it really be such a hardship to us all if they did? I must say, "I am more worried about a comet ending all life on earth." That said, my main point was that what she had to say on the subject should and will be a wake-up call for all those who didn't previously know (and if you did, congrats). I hesitate to make the following analogy, but: I liken it somewhat to the PSA you may have seen telling us, "Never shake a baby!" I know, and you know, and most people know not to shake a baby. However, we may not all know just how much damage can be done. We know it's bad; we are just getting a cold cup of water in the face as to how bad. If you want to read a post that illustrates what I meant (that, and nothing more), read sansu's post in this thread.
