I didn't mean to suggest it 'isn't a real epistle,' Robert. Just a dodgy one, archly off-beat in relation to the tradition evoked. I love the sneaky teasing seductive effect of the long delayed second-person pronoun & share your sense that this teasing, playful, flirting spirit makes the poem, emotionally.

Also limits it, though -- compare Lawrence to Freida, say.
