UPNYA2:
A misunderstanding.
It most assuredly is NOT my fault. While I agree there is no "crime" gene unique to blacks, there does indeed seem to be something that makes this obvious difference so apparent. I did not make it where most places have areas most people avoid and I surely did not make these areas tend to be largely black and minority areas, but they are, so why is that? Why is it many a middle-class sub division of the 50s and 60s are now so depressing and run down, wasn't me.
I want people to state that they fear people, not areas, not neighborhoods. Buildings, streets and sidwalks have never taken anything from anyone. The people in and on them have. Say it.
Fair enough. It is hard to talk about these issues without sounding either like a radical (left or right). Most people, I think, agree that black neighborhoods (or as you want to say, "Black people in black neighborhoods") are not as safe overall; the causes are what people disagree about. What do you think? is it long-standing poverty, lack of opportunities or simply a disrespect for other people's well being and property? if so, why? - is it racial hatred? I don't know the answer; I suspect most people don't either, though they may have ideas that they are afraid to express for fear of sounding either racist (in lib circles) or too liberal (in con circles).
Lastly, is this situation unique to American Blacks? if so, then history is the cause. If not, then what? that people of African descent are still largely poor and powerless? - again, is this due to history? probably - I don't know, as I have acknowledged before. But I wonder - do you think there is a problem? then, is there a solution?
