candoxx, I agree that church and state should at least be separate, although I am more partial to the Napoleonic concept that the state should be primary in that relationship and keep public life as a whole secular.

But there is no problem in having a religious man such as Obama as a president, or to have a religious man as a scientist, professor or administrator of a scientific program.
