The Real Slim K:...and we would almost accept your high-minded opinion of yourself, until you tell us how much you like "Family Guy" and "Friends"...
Seriously how many times are you going to pull out these benchmark of tv comedy?
I don't the SBC is funny. So what? I also don't find Everybody Loves Raymond, Will and Grace, or 30 Rock funny. The Office I find funny. Southpark is one of the most brilliant social satires on television. I enjoy Peep Show, Little Britain, and Monty Python. Oh, and I did find Friends funny (first couple of seasons). Same with Seinfeld. But Ali G., Borat, or Bruno? Not at all. Does that make me a troglodyte? Am I an idiot because it doesn't make me laugh to watch him skewer the easily skewerable? Whatever.
I thought the movie Heathers was hilarious. I like most Drew Barrymore movies. Adam Sandler? You bet. Will Ferrell? Less so. Judd Aptow, Seth Rogan? Not at all. Kevin Smith? Yep.
Maybe it's not people who life Friends who are high-minded. Sounds to me like you're the one who things you're some kind of braniac because you have followed the Rolling Stone crowd (last week's cover, the Jonas Brothers) into the cult of SBC. Good for you. Way to be a real thinker, there.
