So you would be okay with Coleman keeping his seat? Coleman is likely to be paying legal fees for quite a while not due
to the race but his dealing with campaign funds and lobbyists.
Or Barkley? Barkley had experiece, taking the seat over when Wellstone was killed. But he did run Ventura's campaign. Which you seem to have a problem with.
Roland Burris had years of experience in local and state politics. How is he doing? Hasn't even sponsored a bill yet. Which really questions what gives a person experience to hold office.
What you need is someone who is intelligent and quick on the uptake and can step in at the same time staying out of the way of getting things done. No Bozo (that again would be Burris from the land of Bozo), Franken, even if you disagree with his progressive views (which you do), you have to admit that he is a lot smarter than some other members of the Senate, especially those who think CO2 isn't a problem because we breath it.
I have no hope of things running smoothly for the Democrats, especially in the Senate. There are enough blue dogs and the newest breed, canus rouge specterus nelsonia, that we still aren't close to filibuster proof.
