Re: Kerouac's 50 years of crap
by Ted_Burke
Actually, the bit about nostalgia for the fifties and sixties was a sharp and straight line to the heart of the Kerouac matter. The truth hurts.Well, I like this poem just fine, joey.It has a good rhythm, the imagery is fresher than I remembered, and I'd say it's a good stream of urban writing about going home from work . You're predisposed to say the poem sucks because you dislike my remarks on Kerouac, which brings up the point that your cut and pasting it here is irrelevant to your task of making a case for Kerouac. I haven't uttered a word proclaiming my work as superior to JK's, and you seem stuck more than you've ever been in this thread to give a cogent defense of Kerouac's work. You're changing the subject, friend, you're ducking out on your responsibility.
