Most people agree that the current emphasis on early states to candidates hurts democracy. Why not shuffle the order of the states every election? The order could be picked randomly in a ceremony a few months before the primaries using, say, a bingo cage. Sadly, I have no idea how the national parties would pry first place from New Hampshire's and Iowa's hands.
