I'm backing Maxo up on this one. The data on the effects of chemical pollution (not just from pesticides) on male hormones and sperm count are real. Besides that, it's been found that too much soy consumption increases estrogen which is another possible factor in Japan. Sperm count and motility have been declining in industrialized countries for the past 50 years - get away from modern living and sperm count is higher.
Socially, I agree with a lot of what he's saying. Read "Self-Made Man" sometime - it was written by a lesbian who decided to pass as a man for a year to write about the experience. When she tried to date women as a man she was so repulsed by the new dynamic that even after the experiment was over she didn't want to see any women again for nearly a year. Let's face it, all the traditionally male qualities are rewarded by industries that are dying - how many steel mills are left in this country? And all the feminine virtues are where the money is to be made - women are still better communicators, more empathetic, and that's what pays in the post-industrial service economy. Let's not forget that the majority of degrees have been given out to women for decades now. The matriarchy's coming, guys - maybe it's time for some encounter groups or something.
