I approached this article with interest, expecting a thoughtful presentation and discussion of 2012-related prophecies. Instead, I was subjected to a tirade of insults and disparaging comments about everyone who had given the matter more than a passing thought. I came out none the wiser, wondering what the point of the article was... It wasn't certainly to enlighten, it would appear. For example, the author points out that '"Planet X" is an artifact of some infrared anomalies that may or may not have "planetary" reality. Scientists disagree, but few have formed apocalyptic cults around it.' It would've been very helpful to get a gist of what the scientific debate is on the matter. Never mind, I suppose I'll need to look elsewhere for helpful insights on 2012.
