IQ is overrated as a measure of human achievement.

Consider some of the psychological traits that are of far greater value and immediate importance to both the individual and broader human community that have nothing to do with IQ. We seldom consider them as important much less as crucial to the success of the individual or group. Traits like honesty, courage, open-mindedness, creativity, patience, vision, integrity, decency, and endurance, are much more accurate predictors of achievement, and personal fulfillment. IQ is such a narrow measurement of ability and potential. The preoccupation with this points to a broader, deeper, and far more serious deficiency.
