oh, please, we can totally blame clinton!
by Madai

Here's the thing. Clinton had no excuse for not knowing that there would be an eventual doctor shortage. however, he still paid 400 million to reduce the supply anyway.

This boneheaded move fits a pattern of Clinton's absolute lack of foreign policy. Any person with a soul in his body instead of an intern under the desk would have thought, hmm... global aids crisis, usa doctor glut... gee, let's TEMPORARILY export some doctors until we need them here!

Instead, Clinton's foreign policy was rather non-existant, especially in Africa.

1. Didn't work with our UN allies in Somilia, ran away when it backfired.

2. Ignored the Rwanda genocide

3. Bombed an absolutely innocent, internationally inspected anti-malaria medicine factory, on the flimsy claim it has some connection to Osama. <link> Never mind the fact that if he was willing to talk to our allies they could have set us straight on that one.

So, thanks to Clinton... 1. Bush got elected(in no small part thanks to Janet Reno kidnapping a child at gunpoint to send him back to Cuba, hence wiping out the 200,000 vote lead Gore would have had and tipping Florida to Bush/letting it get close enough to steal, another Clinton foreign policy fuckup!) 2. we have a doctor shortage and 3. we are so hated in Sudan for bombing innocent factories that we have no ability to help against a genocide!

But hey, let's blame the baby boomers instead, for uh, yeah, caring for and funding their parents and expecting the same treatment from the next generation. Yeah, those damn boomers. They should have gotten blowjobs and bombed some medical factories instead of working hard and stuff.
