'Cost Plus' is 'State of Play's Plot

As a 'disgruntled vet' myself, (Dana Stevens' spot on caricature of the American take on it's Vets) writing my first post from my car with a power inverter for an outlet I am disappointed but not surprised at how everyone has missed the key point of the film 'State of Play'. 'Wrath of God Money' on the order of 30 to 40 billion US dollars was what the film was about.
Defense contractors work on 'cost plus' contracts where they just say after the fact that they needed a ton of money to do the mission to which they then add a preset amount of say 10% for their profit, the 'plus' part. The rest is all soap opera gyrations. The film was hugely entertaining for me and is now a new all time favorite specifically for being alone in its addressing the elephant in the Congressional chamber which all of the other reviewers, including Dana Stevens, glossed over.
Bigger still was the film's conjecture that Homeland Security is being 'outsourced' to corporations, which if true would be classified and could never be made into a film.
