It is typical for the Republicans to Blame the Democrats, now that Alberto Gonzales has resigned from the position of Attorney General. The reason the Republicans are placing that blame, Political purposes. A handful of Republicans did join with the Democrats, asking Gonzales to resign. It was very clear President Bush was not about to Fire or ask for his resignation, still praising Gonzales saying he was an Honorable man, doing excepional work as the Attorney General. We knew Bush wasn't going to take any action against Gonzales. Bush appointed him only for the reason of Political purpose, being the first Hispanic Attorney General but really, because Gonzales is a personal, life long friend.

The rest of the world saw Gonzales as a puppet with Bush handling the strings. The purgery, scandal and bad memory were the real reasons Gonzales had to go. A few Republicans saw this, the rest didn't want to rock any boat or cause a wave. Those Republicans are as dumb as Bush for not seeing the damage Gonzales made and caused, for the Country, their Party and to themselves individualy.
