Obama did not say he would end the "wars." He opposed the invasion of Iraq, for obvious reasons, and indicated his intention to end that war. If you paid any attention to what he said, he was never anti-war the way most of us on the left are. He always displayed a hawkish side, esp in Aphgan, as he made clear during the campaign. Of course, HIllz and McCain are far to his right and even more hawkish.

There is no selective outrage. Most of us are against continuing the quagmire in Aphgan, but the Oman spoke at length before the election about his intention to send more troops and to deal with Pakistan in more agressive manner than Bush had. If you remember, he got into trouble to suggesting we bomb Pakistan.

You are conflating 2 different things. The iraq occupation and colonization has always been indefensible, but there was at least some obscure rationale behind Aphgan.
