You are mixing apples and oranges, and throwing in a few pears as well. There is no doubt that the U.S. takes in more immigrants than the EU, for a variety of reasons. Your original point, however, was about all of the Europeans who want to immigrate to to the U.S.,and that is simply not true. If you limit the inquiry to just Western Europe, the numbers are actually quite small.
