When Nancy Pelosi came into power, among the first order of business was to take Impeachment off the table. She at least had the decentcy to advise Rep. Conyers first. Rep. Conyers had already done much of the ground work for the Impeachment process. He held open meetings for anyone to come, either they just watched and listened or spoke their thoughts. Pelosi's decision angered only a few Congressmen at the time. She got away with dismissing Impeachment with little or no objection. Although Impeachment was not going to happen, it didn't stray far from thought. Other groups working the Internet, picked up the thought and ran with it. They mailed questionaires, petitions, gave away prizes and made statements, keeping Impeachment in front of American eyes and minds. Some groups split up Impeachment, calling for Cheney alone to be Impeached, the same was done with Atty. Gonzales. Cong. Feingold asked Pelosi to have Bush Censured, she refused, saying there was no time with other matters to be done.

What happened to the Nancy Pelosi that was ready to get things done with or without the presidents help or approval, without the Republicans help or approval? Why has she gone along with every asking of the president. The Republicans were the ones stopping the passing of certain Bills the president gave to Congress. Was Pelosi compromised, promised something, threatened with a skelton in her closet? She has given no indication why the sudden cave in to the president, putting up not one objection to stop him from getting the funds for the war, vetoing Childrens insurence, getting more power without a check on wiretapping, allowing AG Alberto Gonzales to remain, not allowing aides to testify, all this and more, while Pelosi smiles and looks the other way.

Time continues to pass, it won't stand still to let Democrats think about Impeachment, there is nothing more to think about. It's about finding the courage to stand up to Pelosi, tell her either join us or get out of the way. Impeachment will follow in a very short time. This one act will appease the American people and Democrats can ensure themselves victories come 2008.
