I'll say you don't understand. I was graduating high school around the time you were starting and:

  1. You must be a guy, because NONE of the girls I went to high school with, including me, thought porn was worth looking at, or even sexy. Calvin Klein ads, yes. But not porno mags.
  2. We did want to get laid, but we also didn't want to be called sluts. My high school was sexist enough that you had to be careful (if you were a girl) who you lent your pen to, because that alone was enough to be called a slut, if you lent it to too many guys.
  3. By the same token, we weren't necessarily against being naked with our boyfriends (caveat #2 above), but photos were a definite no-no. This may have been before the Web, but it certainly wasn't before photocopiers.
