Paul Krugman is a "pretty good" columnist? (This may not be the exact quote, but that's the gist.) If the world had been listening to him a year or two (or more) ago, we wouldn't be in nearly the economic mess we are in now. But David Brooks writes a snarky column that you can all relate to as DC dwellers (or former dwellers), and this makes him chock full of glorious insight? Please.

Mr. Plotz, with all his heady erudition, will have much more of value to say when he gains more maturation. As easy as Mr. Dickerson's genial personality makes it to pick on him, I find it telling that he is the one called on for commentary on such venerable venues as "The Diane Rehm Show" and others. And Ms. Bazelon is clearly no dummy. Would that she had the confidence to stand up for her ideas when challenged by Mr. Plotz.
