Another example of GM's racing trickling down into their consumer lines is the Corvette Racing Team that competes in the American LeMans series as well as its namesake the 24 Hours of LeMans. A lot of the advances that appeared on the C6 Corvette Z06 were derived from the C5 Corvettes campaigned at LeMans.
