A SIMPLE TEST OF FAITH FOR THE SIMPLE-MINDED
by Dennis St. John

Many of the parents who allow their children to fall gravely ill or die because of religious convictions do so because they feel that using modern medicine is a lack of faith, forgetting, of course, that Luke was a physician, and that Jesus healed not only by faith but also in a specific dispensation. Abraham and Moses obviously had tremendous faith, but neither man healed anyone by faith.

Here's a simple way to see whether or not one has sufficient faith to heal. Jesus said that if one had the faith of a mustard seed, one could say to a mountain, "Remove thyself and be cast into the sea," and it would obey. So, next time someone in the family falls ill, try moving a mountain. If the mountain stays in place, take the patient to see a doctor.
