Think of neglected forums as dumpsters...or maybe bright shiny keys on daddy's ring.

The freditors have probably figured out that the best way to contain the spammers and sockpuppeteers is to leave them to a dozen or so rarely-monitored forums.

Apparently, while BB is getting gazillions of hits...the article-driven forums are still getting respectable numbers...AND (big bonus, here) they're not overrun with racists, drunks, spammers, sockpuppets, and narcissists.

Maybe forums like KFS, BOF, and BB are worth the write-off...if only to keep the self-important distracted.
