One question i have... why are people you don't know well asking you to their weddings? Why would you want to go to a wedding of someone you don't know well? For a number? Oh.. i had so many guests... the number was....

That just seems to strange for me. I've had invites to weddings where we didn't know them well and we never went. I am not going to give simply because jane doe down the road way wants a gift from anyone she can get one from.

If you don't know the wedding party well enough to know what kind of gift to give them, then you probably shouldn't have been invited in the first place, and you probably shouldn't go.

There have been times we've been asked for certain gifts and we do not comply. It is MY gift to give not theirs to ask for.

Weddings are not supposed to be about the gifts one will get and i think most people forgot that. It's supposed to be to share something so wonderful with their close friends and close family. It's about two people starting their lives together and in front of witnesses that matter. If you get married for the gifts, you don't deserve them!
