Re: Come on Prudie, you don't have to be so rude
by jesy929

I think Prudie did need to be so strong about this subject. In the end, if you asked a designer to do something for free as a gift for your wedding she was very apt to lose that friendship. It was rude to even think of it. If the girl had even considered doing it as a gift she would have offered it. My husband is an artist and i've had many of friendships strained when they ask for gifts of his work.

I'm sure you can clean a home, so what if your friend asked you to clean her home for a wedding gift? How would you feel? Put it back unto yourself. Prudie did that woman a favor and maybe helped her save some friendships.

I've had invites for weddings that were horrible! I've had them ask for certain things and money and quite frankly, often times i didn't go after reading their demands. I felt that since i wasn't willing to meet the demands, than maybe i should just stay home.
