Who exactly is supposed to wise up? The electorate? Are you justifying a political war based upon the wrong vote of the majority? A military invasion to force the will of the democracy? The nazis really would blush, Jack... that's science fiction type thinking, what a wonderful world we would live in if homes everywhere were targeted by tanks on account of political discussion... maybe the Democrats and Republicans in this nation should roll tanks in the streets targeting the civilian populace over our constant political arguments? ...nice method of political solution; such a deal, what's not to like?

Or are you saying that it is the responsibility of the civilian populace to take up arms against their government and force them to renegotiate with the enemy in more favorable terms with the enemy? Or are you saying that those unarmed men, women, and children should somehow had shoved their government troops out of the school into the streets? ... in the middle of the battle?

Even the Israelis claim they are not targeting civilians, that it is collateral damage, no one is justifying civilian deaths due to their voting the wrong way in elections. The nazis really would blush, the last time popular vote was taken and reprimanded with death was when the Greek city state voted to fight to death versus become slaves and Athens was furious and killed every last one of them. But this is not even that, these families are just being slaughtered in their homes, regardless of the mission, regardless of how they voted, it is death by location, their only crime was to be in the path of the attacker.
