I find it very strange that we are evening talking about a draft. The Air Force is in the process of cutting 40,000 airmen out of the service as we speak. A portion (less then half) of the 40,000 have retired or taken a voluntary separation. The rest, men and women who want to continue to serve their country are being cut. It is called the RiF. (Reduction in Forces) Why in the world would we even consider drafting unwilling civilians when we have soldiers ready, willing, able and trained to serve who are now simply kicked out of service for no other reason but that the Air Force can't pay their salaries anymore?
