When I looked at this piece, I couldn't help thinking that two different people were responsible for them. The Engber of the video is funny in a playful, non-malicious way. The scene with the shitzhu chasing the Elmo doll was hilarious! I laughed almost all the way through the whole thing, and I am a tough audience! But his tone in the article is somewhat condescending and "too cool for school". Some of his complaints were whiny. For example, the furry robot dog didn't squeal; it just whimpered a lot, which would get on your nerves, but squealing would be louder and more annoying. I think Engber should stick to videos; that is where his talent lies.
