Yeah, it's kind of like the worship given to old saint Ronnie by the Republicans. The man was pretty much an idiot and accomplished little of substance (unless you count Iran-contra.)

Obama's not perfect and he won't make the US into a utopian paradise but he is the smartest president in decades and he has plans to actaully move us in a positive direction. The hero worship is a bit over the top but given Obama is superior to Bush on pretty much every level then it's not surpirsing people would be enamored.
