Faulty logic

Interracial marriage and gay marriage have a lot more in common then this article states.

Consider that it is fear of the "other." In the past other races were once viewed as almost a different species rather then just different color to many people. People felt it was okay and even "right" to discriminate to avoid having cross breeding with "inferiors."

This was ridiculous of course but is it all that different then the arguments against same sex marriage? Gays are viewed as being very different then us "normal" people and for some allowing gays to marry is viewed as a threat to their marriage.

This is a simple matter of equal rights and allowing everyone the opportunity to marry the person that they love regardless of race or gender. Denying this rights is bigotry, pure and simple.
