You're all over MSNBC for admitting that it quoted a story from another network that turned out to be phony? Did you take FOX to task for running the original story? Because really, it fits with the existing evidence we have of Palin; and besides, if FOX is ready (or more likely, forced by overwhelming reality) to run a story unflattering to a Republican, one's first instinct is to think that it's probably true.

I personally think the whole "Africa" affair is an annoying distraction from real news. Anyone who has watched Palin answer questions knows she isn't too bright - the media needs to get on to reporting on real issues, not politicians who have passed their sell-by date.
