FordTruck's not a nutcase, just someone with a different philosophy of gov't.

Well, there's a big part of the problem... it's all just philosophy, not much different than religion. Everyone can spout off a nice, logical sounding philosophical argument about why conservatism is right, or liberalism. But show me someone with real facts about what works, and I'll show you someone who isn't an idealogue of any stripe.

I thought this thread was on changing people's misconceptions of people who vote democrat.

The truth is, about 75% of people vote for the same party as their parents did. That accounts for most of why some people vote democratic and others vote republic. I'd venture a guess that most of the rest vote the other way because their peers were mostly of the other party. In other words, just about everybody's biased.
