"he party of ideas and solutions to [economic] problems"?
by ncwebguy

Do the Republicans think they have any ideas or solutions? The main idea of their presidental nominee's economic advisor was "stop whining" and their man's plan was 'tax cuts for the wealthy'.

When will they look out the window and realize trickle down economics does not work? After giving the rich everything they asked for (and then some) during the last eight years, we've lost jobs every month in 2008 to the tune of 1.2 million and getting worse with cuts coming from bankrupt/scaling back retailers (Linens and Things, Circuit City), Fidelity Investments, and Ford's white collar cuts.

When will these tax cuts trickle down?

Where is the money we're "loaning" to banks going to be loaned to the rest of us?

When will the economies of scale that big business loves so much come to the middle class in the form of affordable prescription drugs, healthcare, education, etc.?

Why was McCain proposing a freeze for every segment of government *except* homeland security and the military, even though they've shown to be more of a drain than a boost to our economy?
