Dear, bsharporflat,
Re: "Let's face it, the rich use their power to get richer. Can't
really blame them, they are built that way. The middle class has the vote as
one of their few powers (their buying choices are another) and they seem to be
using their vote in this election."
Let's continue your line of interrupted thought. The rich use their power to
get richer. The poor use their weakness to gain everyone's empathy and to
obtain the means for their livelihood (a.k.a. reproduction). The middle is in
the middle, trying to make a living.
But the growing poor are supported by the ever empathetic rich, thus the
middle is being squeezes by the efforts of the rich and the poor and is
reproducing at a slower rate than the poor.
Our system encourages population growth of the poor but not the middle class.
Neither of the candidate is doing anything for the middle class. They are more
concerned with the bottom of the population.
I disagree with your statement that "The middle class has the vote as
one of their few powers (their buying choices are another) and they seem to be
using their vote in this election." The middle class is being hoodwinked
by demagogues who will not police our borders and who will not rein in useless
federal education programs and affirmative action racket. Until that happens, the
middle class is going to be ill used.
I don't see a party representing the middle class yet.
