The discussion of the Oklahoma law forcing a detailed review of their ultrasound on women (10/24) considering abortion misses the nuances of the situation woman/some very young women find themselves in. We are in a campaign in which one side wishes to decrease the access to this medical procedure even in cases of rape and incest. Furthermore that side add the issue of birth control methods causing early abortion to the discussion.

The law is an insensitive tool to use to emphasize the "moral" seriousness of abortion. Consider vicitims of rape and incest some very young being forced through an additional ordeal and laying on of guilt. It's cruel and unusual punishment. Women should have the choice of reviewing the ultrasound and be able to make their own decision on whether to have to deal with such information.

The escalation of rules and rhetoric on this and males laying the guilt of pregnancy termination on women is pathetic and should not be allowed.
