"Ever hear of Volcanoes? Mt Pinatubo in the Philipines put out the equivalent of about 100 years worth of man made CO2."

Ever hear of additive processes. Natural sources plus human sources has a larger effect than natural sources alone. We have little capability for keeping a volcano from erupting, so we have to minimize the human sources. Incidentally, all those cows are essentially a human source because they would be around in much smaller numbers if we didn't eat so much beef. Since we, according to physiologists and others, eat much too much beef, a solution suggests itself. Alternatively, we could add calcium to the bovine diet so that they would produce calcium carbonate instead of methane (that's a joke, by the way).

"China is building 1 new "dirty" coal plant every week."

What can I say? I wish they wouldn't do that. My mother used to say "if all your friends jump off a roof, will you jump off too?" Sad to say, when they were low roofs, I did on occasion. That too was instructive.

Power plants are located far from urban centers, requiring billions in infrastructure. Part of that infrastructure (transmission systems) is common to both thermal power plants and windmills, so that is a push. On the other hand, the infrastructure necessary (continuously) to mine (or pump) fuel for the thermal plants, transport it to the plants, and remove the ash (in the case of coal) is also massive.
