Yes I believe that push for investigations into voter fraud was just before the 2004 elections, and initiated by the GOP dominated congress.

They were trying to prove Gonzales claims about voter fraud and give Gonzales justification for his gaming of elections and intimidation by false prosecution of DEM financial supporters like Jeffery Feiger (Once lawyer for Dr Kevorikian).

But the report came back citing almost non-existent voter fraud, and that more investigations need to be initiated into ELECTRONIC machine manipulation.

The report was scuttled and another $4 million of taxpayer more flushed down the drain.
