Lubbesuh. I think that there are plenty of legitimate reasons not to support Obama, or to support McCain. Honest, well meaning people can have legitimate differences in their opinions of tax policy and what constitutes sufficient experience or judgement. I may disagree, but I fault no one for voting for McCain for the honorable reasons that you have delineated.
For the record, I have NEVER called anyone a racist because they disagree on those principles. Also for the record, I also think the criticisms of McCain's service during VietNom or the consipiricy theory that he suppressed evidence of POWs are examples of low bottom-feeding behavior.
The whole Ayers/Wright stuff is another kettle of fish. It is clearly designed to arouse fear. When you look at this stuff, you find that there is fundamentally nothing there about HIM. Investigation after investigation has failed to find any evidence that that Obama supports terrorism, or is a Muslim, or is a racist. Yet insinuations persist. Palin's recent campaign speeches have been think with them "palling around with terrorists" "We don't know much about him." "He's not like us." Come on, there is no "code" here. She is pretty explicitly saying that you shouldn't vote for this guy because he is going to do something (this part is left ambiguous).
You support McCain. Fine. I have no issue with that. But, when you start quoting gutter trash like Trioga-Martin, then I start looking for a pointy white hat.
