. . . threats to freedom are defined according to what one wishes to be free to do. For some, taxes and corporate regulation represent a greater threat; for others, traditional morality and anthropomorphic theism represent a greater barrier to liberty.

Truth be told, I see some threat in both. But not even McCain's talking about a significant cut to self-employment tax or raising the standard decuction to something resembling what it actually takes to live in the U.S. today.
