Re: Except that

then congress will exposed once and for all as the primary culprits they are for what is ailing America.

Ok taking off the partisan spin. Congress, not the President sets the budget. Congress not the President decides how much gets spent on what and when. All the President can do is propose the budget and either veto or sign it. For the last two years it has been a democratically controlled Congress that has set the budget and it has gotten larger. In 2001 President Bush tried to warn Congress that Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae were getting into trouble and asked for regulation on them. He was met with strong opposition by Dem. Congressman Barny Franks and others and nothing was done. In 2003 Bush again warned Congress and asked that something be done and again Congress bowed to the pressure from Dem. Barney Franks and did nothing. In 2005 once again Bush warned Congress and once again was met with strong resistance by Dem. Barney Franks. Each time McCain voted to place stronger regulation on Freddie and Fanny with the exception of in 2005 when Congress blocked it from even coming to a vote.

I expect them to tow the Democratic line which will suit Congress just fine as they tax America to death and increase federal government jobs/spending at our expense.

Yes check the facts please: The average American pays less income tax now than they did with Clinton as president. These facts come straight from the I.R.S. data base. Yet until the "bailout bill" the now Democratically controlled Congress wanted to let the tax breaks expire.

Yes: Obama wants to place higher taxes on large corporations and people making $250K a year plus. If congress allows this who do you think will pay for the increased cost of doing business for the corporations?

If you make $250K a year plus and suddenly find yourself with less money in your paycheck, are you going to continue to spend as usual or will you make cuts? Do you imagine this will not have a trickle down effect on the economy?

Where is the money for all of Obama's wonderful new government sponsored and or created programs coming from. Corporations will simply move out of the country to avoid the tax increase and in the process raise the cost of the goods they produce to cover shipping, handling and tariffs they may have to pay. More jobs will be lost and we will suffer. No thanks Mr. Obama.

Of course this is just the opinion of one person and should Obama be elected he may well turn out to be the best President we have had in a long while or the worst. Time will tell I guess.
