We have different opinions about the character and credibility of Barack Obama, but my admiration and respect for him shouldn't be seen as automatic proof that I'm naive or easily duped. In fact, I like to think my record on the Fray proves just the opposite.

I sincerely like the man, and it's not because I drank the Kool-Aid. It's because after years of careful observation, Senator Obama strikes me as conspicuously thoughtful, careful, respectful, and decent politician. And these are all qualities that America has seen too little of in our leaders these past 8 years.

I respect the fact that Obama hasn't made his case for you yet, but I hope you'll keep an open mind as we approach the election.
