In the debate John McCain said that "somehow" the greedy guys on Wall Street managed to bring the entire U.S. economy to the brink of collapse.

He offered ZERO explanation or understanding of how this imminent catastrophe happened.

"Somehow"? That is pathetic. That is beyond pathetic. How can you lead the effort to fix a problem when you have absolutely no idea how it happened?

The plainly obvious answer is that the McCain, Bush, Cheney, Phil Graham economic philosophy of maximum deregulation is full of shit.

McCain's vast experience here is the experience of f***ing things up.

But it's completely consistent with his repeated assurances to Katie Couric that Sarah Palin is "absolutely" ready to be President of the United States.
