Nice idea, but he's waited a little late. Didn't anyone notice that the voting began on Monday? That pretty much ends the Vice Presidential switch scenario that everyone is talking about, unless the Democrats want to just sacrifice all the votes already cast for electors pledged to Obama/Biden.

And why would Biden need to fake a heart condition? All that is required is for the press to finally dig out the old 1986 stories about Biden living in a home that he agreed not to sell -- and even rent -- to a black family. (See New York Times, August 16, 1986). That alone should justify any black candidate at the top of the ticket in requesting a last minute substitution.
