Hi, V, If you know anyone from Alaska, you have probably heard the phrase "termination dust," a term for the first light snowfall that signified to miners it was time to leave the mountains. It sounds like you might be able to see the termination dust on the mountains near you.

Colorado is one of my favorite states and I have seen Longs Peak, although not climbed it. How about you, have you climbed Longs Peak? I have the Enos Mills biography, "Citizen of Nature," which talks quite a bit about that area and the early climbers.

Anyway, you've written a lovely seasonal poem that reminds me that sometime I'd like to see Colo in the fall.
