Re: Human rights in Jordan...

...and everywhere in the region, even Israel!

* why there is such a huge difference in development between Israel and Jordan.

* Israel has developed tremendously over the past 60 years.

* why, then, blame the whole world and especially Israel for their problems while doing nothing for themselves.

Israel has never been manhandled by a colonial power as a state for the simple reason that it did not exist before as such. So we must be partial to compare it to Jordan in this way. Everyone knows that the colonizer absorbs everything and throws crumbs to the colonized. Regarding the state of Israel at the moment, it would not have been so if it had not been for the generous assistance -moral and especially material- provided by the U.S. and some countries that had and/or still have a sense of guilt towards the Jews. What the Arabs refuse is how Westerners continue to behave in this, almost eternal, conflict i.e. double standards. And when I say Arabs, I mean Arab people and not the leaders that everyone knows they are the masterpiece of the colonizer.

I'm not Arab,I lived amongst them enough to transmit their reaction.
