The truth is McCain does not look brilliant. He is so desperate that he had to call Bush to help him out. Bush obliged and called both candidates to a "bipartisan meeting". But hey, recklessness is no strategy. Americans need good explanation on what both candidates want to do about the country, the economy and international issues. Not some bipartisan slime. McCain realizes he has nothing to say, so he tries to shut up his opponent by shutting up himself. It would be brilliant indeed if two things were true: if Obama had any intention to give him this favor and if the American voters were unable to see through this deception. It would be brilliant indeed, if it was not so transparently self-serving.
