yeah, then they can charge an insurance surcharge based on weight too. Which okay, I could stand to lose 20 pounds. But if they are going to go based on smoking or weight, why not have insurance charges based on real indicator factors like cholesterol, blood pressure, resting heart rate, blood sugar levels. If out of the healthy range you pay more and if you're able to get those down, then your insurance rates go down.

Example, I'm overweight, but I have great BP, heart rate, oxygen intake, cholesterol, and blood sugar levels. Guy who sits next to me is skinny and younger than me, he's got high BP and high cholesterol that he needs meds to control. Who's costing the company more? Me, who only goes to the doctor for my annual physical and is on no medications, or the outwardly healthy looking guy, who's actually costing the company insurance plan $$
