Can't really disagree with you there. But I do think that the Dems (or at least many of their supporters) are making a big mistake by making personal attacks on Palin. Many of them do at least appear to be driven by sexism (and no doubt at least some are). As you point out, without specifically attacking her family there are many arguments to be made against the policies she openly stands for. Why not focus on those?
