yle & All: Speaking of brokering deals, Sarah Palin's lawyer has just announced that Governor Palin will now cooperate in a separate "executive" probe into the TrooperGate scandal. The kicker being that:
- This probe will be conducted by an investigator chosen by the State Personnel Board... a
three-member panel that serves at
the governor's will. In other words... she hires and fires them.
- The current Personnel Board is made up of two members that are holdovers from the Murkowski administration, and one that was chosen by Sarah Palin personally.
A spokeswoman from the McCain/Palin campaign said one (of how many) of Palin's attorneys met with Anchorage attorneyTimothy Petumenosan [the Alaska State Personnel Board investigator]to discuss sharing documents and scheduling witness interviews. See link: <link>
- Petumenosan states that he will be keeping the progress of the investigation "confidential", and that the McCain/Palin camp will have no further comments on this issue.
Well, I guess that's pretty much an "in your face" to the American (and Alaskan) people. This "above the law" attitude says much about her ethics and the McCain/Palin's party's need to the Troopergate facts buried.
Wanna take bets that this "executive probe" finds Sarah Palin innocent of any wrong doing? 100-1 anybody...??
Hmmh... I wonder if Ted Stevens could get his son Ben Stevens chosen for the jury in his up and coming federal trial...
